Why Bertha Benz
Named for Bertha Benz.
On 5 August 1888, Bertha Benz drove 106 km from Mannheim to Pforzheim — the first long-distance journey by automobile — famously clearing a blocked fuel line with a hatpin along the way. She’s the patron saint of “keep it running.” That’s the standard we hold Ordo to.
